[origin: EP0462467A1] The ring spinning or twisting machine possesses a mechanical coupling between the ring frame 3 and the fixing sleeve 11, thus allowing an accurate control of the fixing sleeve 11 for its displacement between the working position and open position. The coupling is formed by a drag lever 27, which acts on a driver part 18 of the fixing sleeve 11, and is effective as soon as the ring frame 3 descends into the lower winding position, the result of this being that the fixing sleeve assumes the open position. <IMAGE>
