[origin: EP0462483A2] In a power supply circuit for a low-frequency amplifier in a broadcast receiving set with a power section with a transformer having at least one secondary winding, a rectifier connected thereto and a charging and/or smoothing capacitor, from which the rectified operating voltage for the low frequency amplifier can be picked up, two secondary windings having the same winding sense and two rectifiers connected thereto and charging and/or smoothing capacitors are provided, the first secondary winding with the subsequent rectifier circuit supplying a first operating voltage and the second secondary winding with the second rectifier circuit supplying a second operating voltage which is superimposed on the first one as high voltage, for the low-frequency amplifier. A switch current-dependently switches either the high voltage or the first operating voltage to the low-frequency amplifier. <IMAGE>
