Abstract (en)

The present invention relates to a travelling-wave tube including a delay line (1) held in a cylindrical conductive sheath (3) by conductive supports (20, 21) and an external microwave circuit (10) coupled to the delay line (1) by capacitive effect. The microwave circuit (10) includes an internal conductive core (12) arranged close to one end of the delay line (1). A dielectric layer (22) is interposed between the delay line (1) and the supports (20, 21). The end of the delay line (1) is connected to a portion of one of the supports (21). This portion of support (21) is arranged facing the internal conductive core (12). Application to wide band travelling-wave power tubes. <IMAGE>
