Device for spreading a fluid substance or the like, particularly a bonding emulsion for bituminous coated products over the surface of a road (C), comprising, on movable plant (1), at least one spreading boom (ramp) (18) along which spreading is at least partially carried out, the said boom (ramp) being associated with an emulsion-supply circuit, characterised in that a boom (ramp) comprises at least one chamber (19) comprising at least one opening on its part intended to face the road (C), the said chamber (19) being associated with means (27, 28, 29) for supply and spray-formation permitting the said chamber (19) to be supplied in its interior with emulsion in spray form, as well as means intended to enhance the deposition of the emulsion in spray form onto the road (C) via the said opening. <IMAGE>
