Abstract (en)
The device for handling weft yarns serves for an automatic method of rectifying weft breaks on projectile looms. In the event of a yarn break in the shed, the weft yarn is grasped at the shed by means of at least one gripper member (4) and is subsequently fed to the suction orifice (5a) of a suction member (5) and inserted between the rollers of a pair of draw-off rollers (6). The weft yarn is drawn out of the shed by the draw-off rollers and is simultaneously fed to a collecting container by means of the suction member (5). The device according to the invention can also be used for a yarn break in front of the shed.

Die Vorrichtung zum Handhaben von Schussfäden dient zu einem selbsttätigen Verfahren, Schussfadenbrüche bei Projektilwebmaschinen zu beheben. Bei einem Fadenbruch im Webfach wird mit mindestens einem Greiforgan (4) der Schussfaden beim Webfach ergriffen und anschliessend der Ansaugöffnung (5a) eines Absaugorgans (5) zugeführt sowie zwischen die Rollen eines Abzugsrollenpaars (6) eingelegt. Mit den Abzugsrollen wird der Schussfaden aus dem Webfach gezogen und gleichzeitig mit dem Absaugorgan (5) einem Sammelbehälter zugeführt. Bei einem Fadenbruch vor dem Fach kann die erfindungsgemässe Vorrichtung auch verwendet werden.
