[origin: EP0462940A2] Numerically controlled working unit (3; 5) for machines for working the end regions of constructional elements for furniture and the like, having a head (25; 27) which carries at least two tools (31, 33; 37, 39) with parallel axes, of which the first (31; 37) is movable along two translation and working axes (X, Y), whereas the second (33; 39) is movable along three translation and working axes (X, Y, Z), the axis of rotation of the two tools (31, 33; 37, 39) running parallel to one (Z) of the three translation axes (X, Y, Z) and at least the other two axes (X, Y) being jointly assigned to the two tools and being numerically controlled; the head (25; 27) and the workpiece perform a relative movement about two mutually orthogonal pivot axes (A, B). <IMAGE>
