To improve the illumination time of a switchless orientation aid for the location of a keyhole, especially on a motor-vehicle lock, with at least one light-radiating surface element (6) which is so arranged in the immediate vicinity of the keyhole that it gives a visual indication of the position of the keyhole, it is proposed to equip at least one surface element (6) with a number of low-current luminous diodes (12) connected electrically in series and to connect these permanently to a low-voltage source (U), especially to a motor- vehicle battery, the current consumption of the luminous diodes (12) being limited by a current limiter to a value well below their lowest specified working current. Advantageously, the total voltage drop across the current limiter and the low-current luminous diodes (12) can be of such a size that, when the supply voltage falls below a specific critical value, these fall below the saturation voltage and, without further measures, become highly resistine. <IMAGE>

Zur Verbesserung der Leuchtdauer einer schalterlosen Orientierungshilfe zum Auffinden eines Schlüssellochs, insbesondere an einem Kraftfahrzeugverschluß, mit wenigstens einem Licht abstrahlenden Flächenelement (6), welches in unmittelbarer Umgebung des Schlüssellochs derart angeordnet ist, daß es einen optischen Hinweis auf die Lage des Schlüssellochs gibt, wird vorgeschlagen, das wenigstens eine Flächenelement (6) mit einer Anzahl von elektrisch in Reihe geschalteten Low-Current-Leuchtdioden (12) zu bestücken und diese permanent an eine Niederspannungsquelle (U), insbesondere an einen Kraftfahrzeug-Akkumulator, anzuschließen, wobei die Stromaufnahme der Leuchtdioden (12) durch einen Strombegrenzer auf einen deutlich unter deren kleinstem spezifizierten Arbeitsstrom liegenden Wert begrenzt ist. Vorteilhaft kann der Gesamt-Spannungsabfall über den Strombegrenzer und die Low-Current-Leuchtdioden (12) in der Weise dimensioniert werden, daß die Sättigungsspannung der letzteren bei Unterschreiten eines bestimmten kritischen Wertes der Speisespannung unterschritten wird und diese ohne weitere Maßnahmen hochohmig werden. <IMAGE>
