[origin: EP0463318A1] To improve the illumination time of a switchless orientation aid for the location of a keyhole, especially on a motor-vehicle lock, with at least one light-radiating surface element (6) which is so arranged in the immediate vicinity of the keyhole that it gives a visual indication of the position of the keyhole, it is proposed to equip at least one surface element (6) with a number of low-current luminous diodes (12) connected electrically in series and to connect these permanently to a low-voltage source (U), especially to a motor- vehicle battery, the current consumption of the luminous diodes (12) being limited by a current limiter to a value well below their lowest specified working current. Advantageously, the total voltage drop across the current limiter and the low-current luminous diodes (12) can be of such a size that, when the supply voltage falls below a specific critical value, these fall below the saturation voltage and, without further measures, become highly resistine. <IMAGE>
