In a hammerdrill with speed-changing gearing for two different spindle speeds, which gearing can be changed by means of a control lever (31), it is intended to permit, in addition, a purely percussive chiselling operation with or without spindle locking, via easily operable and obvious operating elements. This is effected by the fact that the rotary drive can likewise be switched off via the control lever (31) of the control gearing and the spindle (4) can be locked. In particular, the control lever (31) has two closed radial cams (30, 42), one (30) of which acts on a spring-mounted shift fork (27) and the other (42) acts on a coupling (10) in order to switch off the rotary drive of the percussion mechanism (5). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Schlagbohrmaschine mit Wechselgetriebe für zwei verschiedene Spindelgeschwindigkeiten, das mittels eines Schalthebels (31) umschaltbar ist, soll über leicht bedienbare und sinnfällige Bedienungselemente zusätzlich ein rein schlagender Meißelbetrieb mit und ohne Spindelarretierung ermöglicht werden. Dies geschieht dadurch, daß der Drehantrieb über den Schalthebel (31) des Schaltgetriebes ebenfalls abschaltbar und die Spindel (4) arretierbar ist. Insbesondere hat der Schalthebel (31) zwei geschlossene Steuerkurven (30, 42), von denen eine (30) auf eine abgefederte Schaltgabel (27) und die andere (42) auf eine Kupplung (10) zur Abschaltung des Drehantriebs des Schlagwerks (5) einwirkt. <IMAGE>
