[origin: EP0463425A2] The invention relates to a device for cutting and/or slitting a moving web or sheet material made from cardboard (B). Slitting is performed by two rotating circular cutters (1, 1') located on each side of the web (B) and whose two peripheral cutting edges (1a, 1'a) are in mutual contact. A cutter (1) is mounted, by means of a support ring (3) and a sliding sleeve (2), on a transverse shaft (10), that is to say perpendicular to the displacement of the web (B). Between the support ring (3) and the sleeve (2) is interposed a spring in the form of a resilient circular blade (4) which, when the two cutters (1, 1') are in a working position, makes it possible to hold them in contact via resilient prestressing. <??>A device of this type is generally used in a so-called longitudinal slitting and creasing machine for the production of box packaging. <IMAGE>
