[origin: EP0464295A1] A cosmetic box consists of a bottom part with a closure element, which is moulded on integrally, and a lid, which is connected to the bottom part in the manner of a hinge, with a closure projection, into which the closure element engages. The technical problem is to design the cosmetic box in such a way that the closure element is constructed integrally with the bottom part and allows actuation which is appropriate to the function. In the end wall (5) parallel to the outer edge, the bottom part (1) has a rectangular recess (6) which is bridged by a web (7) which serves as a closure element and extends parallel to the outer edge.
