Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0464309A2] The invention relates to a printing machine having at least one printing stand, in which there are mounted a back pressure cylinder (3) and two forme cylinders (6, 7) which can be placed against the latter and are provided with inking rollers (8, 9) associated therewith, the back pressure cylinder being connected to the main drive and gearwheels being attached to the shaft journals of the back pressure cylinder, the forme cylinder and the inking rollers, which gearwheels are in engagement with one another for synchronous running during the printing operation. <??>To achieve the object of providing a printing machine of this type, in which a production failure can be virtually completely avoided by transfer from one printing order to another, according to the invention each forme cylinder can be uncoupled from the main drive of the back pressure cylinder by a coupling device (19, 20) and provided with a controllable servomotor (38) which accelerates the forme cylinder to the circumferential speed of the back pressure cylinder. The relevant forme cylinder can be coupled to the main drive of the back pressure cylinder again when the synchronous speed has been reached. <IMAGE>
