In glass ceramic cooking hobs, a decoration is usually printed on the surface receiving the kitchenware, e.g. to mark the cooking areas. It is disadvantageous that, when the kitchenware is displaced on the receiving surface, this decoration is rubbed off and after a long period of use becomes unrecognisable. <??>According to the innovation, this is avoided in that, for marking e.g. the cooking areas, the markings are formed by the plate material itself, which has in the region of these markings, a material structure which is different, e.g. matt, from the usual glass material. <IMAGE>

Bei Glaskeramik-Kochfeldern ist auf der Geschirr-Stellfläche üblicherweise ein Dekor aufgedruckt, z. B. zur Kennzeichnung der Kochflächen. Nachteilhaft ist, daß beim Verschieben des Geschirrs auf der Stellfläche dieses Dekors abgerieben wird und nach längerer Nutzungsdauer unkenntlich wird. Dies wird gemäß der Neuerung dadurch vermieden, daß zur Kennzeichnung z. B. der Kochflächen die Markierungen durch das Plattenmaterial selbst gebildet sind, das im Bereich dieser Markierungen eine von dem üblichen Glasmaterial unterschiedliche, z. B. mattierte Materialstruktur aufweist. <IMAGE>
