Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0464878A1] The invention relates to a hinge system for two panels, of the type comprising a flexible hinge (4) and panel edge sections (1, 2; 3) shaped so as to retain said flexible hinge. According to the invention, the flexible hinge (4) is composed of a central bulge (13) arranged in the vicinity of the mid-plane of the panels and of two wings (14, 15) designed to snap into the edge sections; the latter have receptacles (L1, L2) allowing this snapping and guide surfaces (Sx, Sc; Sax, Sac, AL) arranged on either side of the mid-plane of the panels, for the purpose of guiding their pivoting about an axis of rotation passing through the central bulge of the flexible hinge. The invention can be used particularly for the production of sectional doors. <IMAGE>
