[origin: EP0465223A2] Disclosed is a boot (16) for an in-line roller skate, said boot (16) including a plurality of elongated fitting apertures (70a - 70f) disposed in the area substantially adjacent to the closing means (58,60). The fitting apertures (70a - 70f) increase the flexibility of the stiff boot material enabling an in-line roller skater to more closely conform the boot to his foot, providing a better fit and increasing performance while reducing fatigue. <IMAGE>
