[origin: EP0465291A1] Electrical contact element intended, on the one hand, to provide an electrical connection between an electrical conductor (2) and a male electrical contact element (20), characterised in that it is formed from a cut-out blank in order to present a web (6) with, in the vicinity of one end, two tabs (2, 2a) folded so as to extend perpendicularly to the web (6) and each presenting a slot (3, 3a) for forming an insulation-displacement connection element and the said blank being terminated by a flap (16) intended to be folded in order for its free end to bear against the edge of the tabs (2, 2a) which are provided with strips (4, 4a), themselves being folded over against the corresponding face of the said flap which, together with the web (6), delimits the conduit (19), the latter web, at right angles to the said conduit (19), being prolonged by a tongue (8) intended to be folded back in order to extend into the said conduit (19) and to form an elastic bearing surface for the male element (20). <IMAGE>
