When the ball (22) is forced inward, the bearing (10) rises in the housing (3) and the slot can open up whilst the flat spring is being compressed (17). The elastic shock-absorber (4) links the housing (3) to the sleeve (1). Apllication: articulated joint for control linkages in motor cars or machines.

Lorsqu'on enfonce à force la rotule (22), le palier (10) remonte dans le boîtier (3) et la fente (14) peut bailler, cependant qu'on comprime le ressort plat (17). L'amortisseur élastique (4) relie le boîtier (3) au manchon (1). Application: articulation pour les tringleries dans l'automobile ou les machines.
