[origin: EP0466528A1] The invention sets out a quick coupling device (10) for a battery terminal post of the type comprising a clip (12) which surrounds, at least partially, the post of the terminal and means for clamping the clip on to the terminal, characterised in that the clip is a part made from sheet metal cut out and folded in the form of an elastically compressible pincer comprising a portion (14) in the form of an open annular loop which engages with the post of the terminal and whose extremities are extended by means of two branches (16, 18) substantially parallel to the axis of the loop and the closing of which branches is provided by means of a clamping lever (13) articulated to the clip (12) about an axis substantially perpendicular to the axis of the loop and whose active part (32) engages with the branches in order to reduce the size of the annular loop by elastic deformation of the latter. <IMAGE>
