[origin: CA2048690A1] A rivet fastening consists of a sleeve (1) and a shank (2) having a bolt-shaped shaft (3) and a head section (4) fitted or formed on it which has a larger diameter than that of the shaft (3). The sleeve (1) has a female thread (5) and the shaft (3) of the shank (2) a corresponding male thread (6). There are conical widened sections (13) on the sleeve (1) to ensure its fastening by interlocking or frictional engagement to the workpiece to be rivetted. There are flats (9) at one end of the shank (2) to provide a grip for a tool. At the other end of the shank (2) is a drill section (8) and the direction of drilling and that for tightening the shank (2) are the same. Guide break lines (17) are provided at the end opposite the bearing shoulder (7) of the sleeve (1).

Dispositif d'assemblage riveté consistant en un manchon (1) et un goujon (2) présentant une tige (3) en forme de boulon et un épaulement de tête (4) plus grand, par rapport au diamètre de la tige (3), disposé ou formé sur celle-ci. Le manchon (1) est pourvu d'un filetage interne (5) et la tige (3) du goujon (2) d'un filetage externe correspondant (6). Des élargissements (13) coniques se trouvent sur le manchon (1) pour le fixer par liaison de forme et/ou de force à la pièce à riveter. Des méplats (9) se trouvent à l'une des extrémités du goujon (2) pour permettre l'application d'un outil. Une partie de perçage (8) se trouve à l'autre extrémité du goujon (2), de ce fait, le sens de rotation pour le perçage et le sens de serrage du goujon (2) sont les mêmes. Des lignes de rupture théoriques (17) se trouvent à l'extrémité opposée à la collerette de butée (7) du manchon (1).
