[origin: EP0467188A1] For the economical and time-limited operation of the drying process, the clothes drier will be designed so as as far as possible to avoid additional outlay. In addition to an adjustable waste-air orifice (12) in the process-air channel between the condenser (6) and the clothes-drying space (1), an incoming-air orifice (14) is arranged, for this purpose, between the evaporator (5) and the condenser (6) in the process-air channel. The temperature level in the process-air channel can thereby be controlled, without appreciably reducing the performance of the heat pump. <IMAGE>
