In an electrical half-shell connector, especially a half-shell earth-contact connector, which consists of a connector bridge and a pair of mutually connected plastic half shells, which are constructed in a mutually complementary manner, for covering the connector bridge, the plastic half-shells and the connector bridge (with its contact and connection pins) are constructed in a mutually complementary manner such that the plane formed by the contact and connection pins lies at right angles to the separating plane of the plastic half-shells. This results in increased mechanical strength and, in consequence, increased electrical safety. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei einem elektrischen Halbschalenstecker, insbesondere Halbschalen-Schutzkontaktstecker, der aus einer Steckerbrücke und einem Paar komplementär zueinander ausgebildeter, miteinander verbundener Kunststoff-Halbschalen zur Abdeckung der Steckerbrücke besteht, sind die Kunststoff-Halbschalen und die Steckerbrücke (mit ihren Kontakt- und Anschlußstiften) komplementär zueinander so ausgebildet, daß die von den Kontakt- und Anschlußstiften gebildete Ebene senkrecht zur Trennebene der Kunststoff-Halbschalen liegt. Damit ergibt sich eine erhöhte mechanische Festigkeit und in Folge eine erhöhte elektrische Sicherheit. <IMAGE>
