[origin: EP0468137A2] By means of a spillage-retaining device in the vicinity of a filling pipe which is arranged in a domed shaft and opens out through a domed lid into an underground storage container for fuels, heating oils or the like, a solution is to be provided which virtually completely prevents any spillage damage when a filling hose connected to the filling pipe becomes detached. This is achieved in that a flexible retaining bag (13), which surrounds the filling pipe (4) in a fluid-tight manner and is resistant to the spilt liquids, is arranged between the domed lid (3) and the shaft lid (12) which is situated above it and terminates the domed shaft (10). <IMAGE>
