Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0468256A1] The envelope has an adhesive closure, wherein a flap (2), which is coated with an adhesive layer (4), can be stuck to a sticking surface of the envelope to close the latter. In the ready-for-use state, however, the adhesive layer is stuck to a further sticking surface (5) of the envelope, from which it can easily be released without destruction or residue. In the case of envelopes which can only be used once, this surface is silicone-treated, either directly or by means of a stuck-on, silicone-treated separation strip. Said surface can be provided on the inside of the front of the envelope, on the flap itself or on the outside of the back of the envelope. No waste occurs when the envelope is sealed. <IMAGE>
