Method for producing a thread-end reserve, in which, after a specific diameter of the bobbin is reached, the thread is guided down from the outer surface of the bobbin onto the tube and subsequently back again onto the outer surface of the cross-wound bobbin. For carrying out the method on a conical bobbin, the tube used has, at its end of smaller diameter, a groove for receiving the thread-end reserve. <IMAGE>

Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Fadenendreserve bei dem nach Erreichen eines bestimmten Durchmessers der Spule, der Faden von der Mantelfläche der Spule herunter auf die Hülse und anschließend wieder zurück auf die Mantelfläche der Kreuzspule geführt wird. Für die Durchführung des Verfahrens bei einer konischen Spule wird eine Hülse verwendet, die an ihrem Ende mit dem kleineren Durchmesser eine Rille besitzt zur Aufnahme der Fadenendreserve. <IMAGE>
