The invention relates to a thread-cutting device for multi-needle sewing machines with shuttles or hooks (2), which is intended for severing the residual threads of the stitches, comprising cutting means and means for the relative displacement of the fabric (3) in relation to the needles (1) (a-h) and to the shuttles or hooks (2), in order to draw a particular length of thread (8, 9) on the one hand between the stopping points (7) of the stitches and the needles, passing by way of orifices made through a holding member (5) in contact with the upper face of the fabric and on the other hand between said stopping points and the shuttles or hooks (2), passing by way of orifices made through a perforated plate (4) in contact with the lower face of the fabric, characterised in that said cutting means comprise at least one knife (10, 11) moveable relative to the fabric, in contact with each of its faces and capable of simultaneously severing a plurality of residual threads flush with the fabric. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un dispositif coupe-fils pour machines à coudre multiaiguilles à navettes ou crochets (2) destiné au sectionnement des fils résiduels des coutures comprenant des moyens de coupe et des moyens de déplacement relatif du tissu (3) par rapport aux aiguilles (1) (a-h) et aux navettes ou crochets (2) pour étirer une certaine longueur de fil (8, 9), entre d'une part les points d'arrêt (7) des coutures et les aiguilles en passant par des ouvertures pratiquées au travers d'un organe de maintien (5) au contact de la face supérieure du tissu et d'autre part entre lesdits points d'arrêt et les navettes ou crochets (2) en passant par des ouvertures pratiquées au travers d'une plaque perforée (4) au contact de la face inférieure du tissu, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens de coupe comprennent au moins un couteau mobile (10, 11) par rapport au tissu, au contact de chacune de ses faces, et capable de sectionner simultanément plusieurs fils résiduels au ras du tissu. <IMAGE>
