[origin: DE4004897C1] The fuel-air mix injector comprises a fuel injection valve in a housing with a seat and seal plus on injection orifice downstream of the seat and an air collector sleeve whose cylinder part axially surrounds the orifice part of the valve end and whose base part surrounds this valve end redially. A mix injection orifice coaxial to the valve axis is arranged in the base of the sleeve. The base part (11) of the sleeve (4) has, on its inside (21) facing the fuel valve end (1,6), a radial ring surface (24) reaching to the mix orifice (31) and has radially outwards from this surface two contact surfaces (26). The contact surfaces project axially towards the valve end over a preset distance beyond the ring surface (24) to form a defined air gap (27) between the valve end (6) perforated disc (20) and the ring surface to admit air entering between the valve end and sleeve base (11) so that the fuel impinges on this air flow from the injection orifice (8).
