[origin: WO9113476A1] The connector, usable particularly in the motor vehicle industry, has two elements coupled into each other by insertion, one forming a plug (10) and the other forming a coupling connector (12), carrying co-operating contacts provided with locking means having a fork lever (22) whose branches rotate on one of the elements about an axis transversal to the plug-in direction and have claws (32) engaged on a locking ramp on the other element. In addition to the locking claw (32) intended to bear against the ramp, oriented so that the tilting of the lever causes the elements to come closer to each other, each branch of the fork comprises a finger (36) intended to bear on a extraction ramp (30) oriented in the direction opposite to the first ramp and having a profile such that movement of the lever from its locking position exerts a force tending to separate the elements from each other.

Le connecteur, utilisable notamment dans le domaine automobile, a deux éléments accouplables l'un à l'autre par enfoncement, constituant l'un une fiche (10) et l'autre une embase (12), portant des contacts coopérants, munis de moyens de verrouillage ayant un levier en fourche (22) dont les branches tournent sur un des éléments autour d'un axe transversale à la direction d'enfichage et présentent des griffes (32) venant s'engager sur une rampe de verrouillage ménagée sur l'autre élément. Chaque branche de la fourche comporte, en plus de la griffe (32) de verrouillage destinée à venir s'appuyer sur la rampe orientée de façon que le basculement du levier provoque le rapprochement des éléments, un doigt (36) destiné à s'appuyer sur une rampe d'extraction (30) orientée en sens contraire de la première, ayant un profil tel que l'écartement du levier de sa position de verrouillage exerce une force tendant à séparer les éléments l'un de l'autre.
