Abstract (en)
The seating unit consists of a seat surface (2) and a backrest (3) which both consist of individual elements (13) which are supported by a frame. Each element (13) consists of two shells (14). In a preferred embodiment, the two shells are identical and each shell has longitudinal ribs (16) which are rounded at the top. In order to guarantee improved discharge of rainwater, the gaps (18) between the ribs are of varying depth and are provided at the lowest points with discharge openings (19, 22). The above construction allows economic manufacture and a robust construction of seating units for the open air which can additionally be used again quickly after a shower of rain. <IMAGE>

Das Sitzmöbel besteht aus einer Sitzfläche (2) und einer Rückenlehne (3), die beide aus einzelnen Elementen (13) bestehen, die von einem Rahmen getragen werden. Jedes Element (13) besteht aus zwei Schalen (14). In einer bevorzugten Ausführung sind die beiden Schalen identisch und jede Schale weist Längsrippen (16) auf, die oben abgerundet sind. Um ein besseres Abfliessen des Regenwassers zu gewährleisten, sind die Zwischenräume (18) zwischen den Rippen verschieden tief und an den tiefsten Stellen mit Abflussöffnungen (19, 22) versehen. Durch obige Konstruktion wird eine wirtschaftliche Herstellung und eine robuste Ausführung von Sitzmöbeln für das Freie ermöglicht, die zudem nach einem Regenguss schnell wieder benutzbar sind. <IMAGE>
