Abstract (en)

The invention relates to a method for production of castings of aluminium or its alloys comprising integrated runners intended for the distribution of a lubricant or for the circulation of a heat-exchange fluid. <??>The method is characterised in that:   - one or more previously shaped tubes of aluminium or aluminium alloys are placed in a mould, the ends of the tube or tubes being outside the mould or the cores inserted therein;   - the alloy is poured into the cavity of the mould;   - after removal from the mould, the excess parts of the tube or tubes are removed. <??>This method applies to the mass-production of castings having a system of internal runners, such as cylinder heads, compressor cylinders, lubrication systems, convectors, etc. <IMAGE>

Abstract (fr)

L'invention concerne un procédé de réalisation de pièces moulées en aluminium ou ses alliages comportant des canaux intégrés destinés à la distribution d'un lubrifiant ou à la circulation d'un fluide caloporteur. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce que : un ou plusieurs tubes en aluminium ou alliages d'aluminium préalablement conformés sont placés dans un moule, les extrémités du ou des tubes étant à l'extérieur du moule ou des noyaux qui y sont insérés; l'on coule l'alliage dans la cavité du moule; après démoulage on élimine les parties excédentaires du ou des tubes. Ce procédé s'applique à la production en série de pièces moulées ayant un système de canaux internes telles des culasses, des cylindres de compresseurs, des systèmes de lubrification, de convecteurs, etc... <IMAGE>
