[origin: WO9013224A1] A method of endophyte-enhanced protection in commercially-valuable plants is described which comprises providing an endophytic bacterium that can be harbored within the plant but creates no visible manifestation of disease and introducing that organism to the plant to enhance protection against a broad spectrum of diseases.
