[origin: EP0470384A1] The present invention relates to an alpine ski boot, comprising a lower shell part (1) and an upper (2) mounted pivotably on this lower shell part. This boot is characterised in that the rear wall of the upper is strengthened by a stiffening brace (7) which extends, at a distance from the rear wall (2b) of the upper, between the upper (8) and lower (9) parts of this rear wall, and in that at least one tie-piece (11) forms a rigid mechanical link between an intermediate zone of the stiffening brace (7) and an intermediate zone of the rear wall (2b) of the upper. <IMAGE>
