[origin: US5269103A] A honing tool (1) simultaneously serving as a measuring mandrel has, apart from honing ledges (7), measuring and/or guide ledges (10), which are mounted in radially adjustable manner on the tool body (2) for increasing the measuring precision and/or for adjusting to different nominal dimensions of the hole. Thus, e.g. prior to the end of the machining of a hole, the measuring ledges (10) can be infed again and/or the desired measured value can be recalibrated by means of a calibration hole.
