Abstract (en)
For producing bar-shaped metallic products, in particular metal tubes of defined length, the product is rolled out by two forming rolls which are mounted with their axes parallel, between them form the roll gap and are moved backwards and forwards together by an external drive, at the same time executing a rotary motion in alternate directions, while the semifinished product is fed stepwise towards the forming rolls. The rotary motion of the forming rolls is brought about by gear wheels (6, 11) which, during the movement backwards and forwards, roll directly or via idler gear wheels (14) on racks (9, 13). For the rolling operation, an additional feed motion in the respective direction of rotation is imparted to each of the forming rolls independently.

Zur Herstellung von strangförmigem metallischen Gut, insbesondere von metallischen Rohren definierter Länge, wird das Gut durch zwei achsparallel gelagerte und zwischen sich den Walzenspalt bildende, durch Antrieb von außen gemeinsam hin- und herbewegte und gleichzeitig eine Drehbewegung mit wechselnder Drehrichtung ausführende Formwalzen bei schrittweisem Vorschub des Halbzeugs gegen die Formwalzen ausgewalzt. Die Drehbewegung der Formwalzen erfolgt durch Zahnräder (6, 11), die während der Hin- und Herbewegung unmittelbar oder über Zwischenzahnräder (14) auf Zahnstangen (9, 13) abrollen. Dabei erhält für den Walzvorgang jede der Formwalzen für sich einen zusätzlichen Vorschub in die jeweilige Drehrichtung.
