Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0471274A1] The disclosure relates to a package container provided with an opening arrangement and consisting of a plastic-coated packaging material, comprising a sealing fin (3) extending transversely over a container wall (4) and in which there is inlaid an opening strip (10) of laminate material whose pull-off entails that the sealing fin closing the container wall (4) is unseated for exposing a corresponding pour aperture. The opening strip (10) includes an inner layer (14) and outer sealable plastic coatings (15) and an intermediary layer (16) disposed between the inner layer (14) and each respective outer plastic coating (15). In order to facilitate opening of the package container, the intermediary layer (16) of the opening strip (10) consists of a material of such properties that the bonding strength between all material layers included in the opening strip and between the outer thermoplastic coatings (15) and opposing plastic coatings (12) of the packaging material in the sealing fin (3) is greater than the internally cohesive bonding strength of the intermediary layer (16), whereby the opening strip (10) undergoes a cohesive delamination within the intermediary layer (16) when the opening strip is pulled-off. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
