[origin: WO9013274A1] An incontinence device comprising a generally tubular soft latex shape (120) open at one end (122). The other end (124) is smoothly curved and tapered inwardly (128) to the opening (126) with the latex of minimal thickness and coated on the outside adjacent the opening (126) with a suitable adhesive for contact with the skin about the anal opening. The lower end (122) is partially folded and clipped. The shape and material of the device permits the device to fully stretch and shrink with the anal opening while remaining adhesively affixed to the skin. An extended polyvinyl chloride/urethane mixture of similar elasticity, flexibility and elongation may be substituted for the latex. Because of the very thin wall thickness, the device may be formed as a flat hollow body (120) which expands in use.

Un dispositif utilisé dans le traitement de l'incontinence présente une forme sensiblement tubulaire en latex doux (120) ouverte à une extrémité (122). L'autre extrémité (124) est courbée uniment et s'effile en pointe (128) vers l'ouverture (126) réalisée en latex d'une épaisseur minimale, ladite extrémité étant recouverte à la surface extérieure adjacente à ladite ouverture (126) par un adhésif apte au contact avec la peau autour de l'orifice anal. L'extrémité inférieure (122) est partiellement repliée et pincée. La forme et la matière du dispositif lui permettent de s'étirer et de se rétrécir complètement, conjointement avec l'orifice anal, tout en restant fixé, par l'intermédiaire de l'adhésif, à la peau. On peut remplacer le latex par un mélange polyvinylchlorure/uréthane présentant une élasticité, une flexibilité et un allongement semblables à ceux du latex. Etant doté d'une épaisseur de parois relativement mince, le dispositif peut être réalisé sous forme d'un corps plat creux (120) qui s'élargit à l'usage.
