[origin: EP0396044A1] Mixtures of C16-C28 alkylglucosides (A) and C16-C28 fatty alcohols (B) in a weight ratio (A): (B) between 20:1 and 1:9 possess antifoaming properties even when highly diluted. Their ecological properties make them suitable for use in the foodstuffs industry. The use of mixtures containing (A) and (B) in a chemically inert liquid carrier oil non-miscible with water is advantageous.

Des mélanges d'alkylglucosides C16-C28 (A) et d'alcools gras C16-C28 (B) dans un rapport en poids (A):(B) compris entre 20:1 et 1:9 possèdent, même extrêmement dilués, des propriétés antimoussantes. Leurs caractéristiques écologiques les rendent appropriés pour une utilisation dans l'industrie alimentaire. Il est avantageux d'utiliser des mélanges renfermant (A) et (B) dans une huile porteuse liquide chimiquement inerte et non miscible avec l'eau.
