[origin: JPH04254853A] PURPOSE: To obtain a photographic processing chemical generating no dust or relatively small dust by incorporating a specific compound. CONSTITUTION: This photographic chemical consists essentially of an active principal agent and an assistant and further contains at least one kind of a compound expressed respectively by formula I and II or for example, at least one kind of a water soluble polymer such as polystyrene sulfonic acid and polyvinyl alcohol or a mixture of at least two kinds expressed by formula I and II are incorporated in the ratio of 0.5-100g per 1kg solid matter. In formula I and II, R expresses a 2-4C alkyl, (n) expresses 1-200 and R1 expresses 10-18C alkyl.

In fester Form formulierte fotografische Verarbeitungschemikalien, enthaltend die erforderlichen Wirk- und Hilfsstoffe sowie zusätzlich wenigstens eine Verbindung der Formel (I), <IMAGE> worin R: C2-C4-Alkyl und; n: 1 - 200 bedeuten, oder wenigstens eine Verbindung der Formel, R1OH (II) worin; R1: C10-C18-Alkyl bedeutet, oder wenigstens ein wasserlösliches Polymeres, z.B. aus der Reihe Polystyrolsulfonsäure und Polyvinylalkohol oder ein Gemisch wenigstens zweier vorgenannter Verbindungen, in einer Menge von 0,5 bis 100 g/kg Feststoff sind staubfrei oder staubarm.
