[origin: EP0472100A2] A high-pressure discharge lamp with a ceramic discharge vessel (8) has supply lines (16) of niobium which are mounted in a ceramic plug (11). At least the region (18) of the supply lines (16) passing through the plug is provided with a coating of a material containing halides.
