Abstract (en)

The static laminar mixing device (1') for mixing media of widely different viscosities has two mixers (1a, 1b) of different cross-section, arranged in series. The cross-section of the first mixer (1a) is smaller. The admixing device (1213) for metering the additive (13) of a lower viscosity than that of the medium of the main stream (12) has an orifice plate (14), in the opening of which the nozzle ends. Markedly improved mixing results are obtained both with the laminar mixing device (1') alone and with the admixing device (1213) alone, but especially in combination. Using the mixing devices (1'), excellent results are obtained in the admixing and dissolution of additives, such as mineral oil/paraffin, in plastic melts and polystyrene. <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

Die statische Laminar-Mischeinrichtung (1') für das Mischen von Medien mit stark unterschiedlicher Viskosität, weist zwei nacheinander angeordnete Mischer (1a, 1b) mit unterschiedlichem querschnitt auf. Der querschnitt des ersten Mischers (1a) ist kleiner. Die Zumischvorrichtung (1213) für das Dosieren des Additivs (13) mit niedrigerer Viskosität als das Medium des Hauptstroms (12), weist eine Blende (14) auf, in deren Öffnung die Düse mündet. Sowohl mit der Laminar-Mischeinrichtung (1') allein, als auch mit der Zumischvorrichtung (1213) allein, besonders aber in kombination, werden deutlich verbesserte Mischergebnisse erreicht. Mit der Mischeinrichtungen (1') werden beim Zumischen und Lösen von Additiven, wie Mineralöl/Paraffin zu kunstoffschmelzen und Polystyrol, ausgezeichnete Resultate erzielt. <IMAGE>
