[origin: WO9012934A1] A ceiling panel (5) capable of bending into the shape of an arc, for forming a curved ceiling (10), and a method of manufacturing the ceiling panel. The ceiling panel comprises a mineral wool layer (2') with fibers bonded together, the direction of the fibers being mainly perpendicular to the underlayer fabric (3) which is made from glasswool and attached to one side of the fiber layer, onto the surface of which underlayer fabric a coating fabric (6) made from glasswool is laminated. The panel is manufactured from a mineral wool mat (1) which is coated on both sides thereof and in which, when the panel is viewed in a horizontal position, the fibers of which have been caused to rise from the normal, horizontal position to a vertical position in the manufacturing stage of the mat.

Panneau (5) pour plafond, qui se plie en forme d'arc pour constituer un plafond incurvé (10), et procédé pour fabriquer ce panneau. Le panneau pour plafond comprend une couche de laine minérale (2') à nappe de fibres, la direction des fibres étant essentiellemnt perpendiculaire au tissu de la sous-couche (3), qui est en laine de verre et qui est fixée à l'une des faces de la couche de fibres. Une couche de tissu de revêtement (6) en laine de verre est disposée sur la surface du tissu de sous-couche. Le panneau est fait d'une natte de laine minérale (1) dont les deux faces sont dotées d'un revêtement et dans laquelle, si l'on regarde le panneau en position horizontale, on a fait se dresser les fibres de leur position horizontale normale en une position verticale au cours de la fabrication de la natte.
