[origin: WO9014705A1] In a sensor for determining physical processes in the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, the measurement electrode is arranged separately from the metallic screw-in part (10). The measurement electrode consists of a wire (17) or a mesh-like sheath (22) sintered into the spark plug insulator (12) and is earthed by means of a measurement element (19). The ignition can be monitored and at the same time the quality of the firing of the mixture can be assessed by measuring the ignition current.

Dans un capteur pour détecter des processus physiques dans la chambre de combustion d'un moteur à combustion interne, l'électrode de mesure est disposée séparément de la partie filetée métallique (10). L'électrode de mesure est constituée d'un fil métallique (17) ou d'une cosse réticulaire (22) frittée dans l'isolateur céramique de la bougie (12) et est mise à la terre au moyen d'un élément de mesure (19). La mesure du courant d'allumage permet de contrôler l'allumage et en même temps d'évaluer la qualité de l'inflammation du mélange.
