[origin: WO9014524A1] An adjustable locking cam assembly (10) for locking roller bearings (16) at both ends of a roll shaft (12) of a roll (14) of the kind employed in mill stands used in steel rolling mills. The locking cam assembly (10) comprises a sleeve member (26) provided with a helical cam surface (28) standing out perpendicularly from the outer circumferential surface (30) of the sleeve member (26). The locking cam assembly (10) further comprises an adjustable locking member (60) rotabably received on the outer circumferential surface (30) of the sleeve member (26), and provided with a matching helical cam surface (62) that slibably engages with the helical cam surface (28) of the sleeve member (26) to cause axial movement of the adjustable locking member (60) towards a locked position. In the locked position the adjustable locking member (60) thrusts against the roller bearing (16) through a ball bearing (20), a spacer (24) and seal running ring (22). The adjustable locking member (60) comprises two halves which are held together by two bolts received in bores (68). The two bolts also enable the locking member (60) to be locked in the locked position to lock the roller bearing (16) on the shaft (12). The adjustable locking cam assembly (10) facilitates more efficient and rapid change over of the bearings (16) of one pair of rolls to the next pair.

La came de blocage réglable (10) sert à bloquer des roulements à rouleaux (16) aux deux extrémités d'un arbre (12) d'un cylindre (14) du type utilisé dans les cages à colonnes des installations de laminage de l'acier. La came de blocage (10) comprend un manchon(26) présentant une surface de came hélicoïdale (28) s'étendant perpendiculairement à partir de la surface circonférentielle externe (30) du manchon (26). La came de blocage (10) comprend en outre un élément de blocage réglable (60) placé rotatif sur la surface circonférentielle externe (30) du manchon (26) et présentant une surface de came hélicoïdale correspondante (62), qui est en contact coulissant avec la surface de came hélicoïdale (28) du manchon (26), afin d'imprimer un mouvement axial à l'élément de blocage réglable (60) en direction d'une position bloquée. Dans la position bloquée, l'élément de blocage réglable (60) exerce une pression contre le roulement à rouleau (16) par l'intermédiaire d'un roulement à billes (20), d'une pièce d'espacement (24) et d'un anneau d'étanchéité mobile (22).
