Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0472747A1] The invention relates to an arrangement for the supervised operation of a load (6) with an electronic drive and monitoring of the load current. In order to achieve, with an arrangement of this kind using exclusively electronic drive elements, operation which is reliable in terms of signalling technology using a switching-off process which is reliable in terms of signalling technology, the drive takes place by means of two microcomputers (1, 2) which act independently of one another and which each generate a pulse sequence (f1, f2) of the same frequency and amplitude but with opposite phase and are synchronised in such a way that the pulse sequences (f1, f2) which are fed in each case to a winding end of a primary winding (5a) of a transformer (5) produce a defined primary voltage which generates in the secondary winding (5b) located in the load circuit a secondary voltage which is required for operating the respective load (6), an electronic power stage with tristate output (4) being arranged between each microcomputer (1, 2) and the associated end of the primary winding (5a). Furthermore, a current measuring element (8) which informs each microcomputer (1, 2) of the presence and the value of the load current for the purpose of evaluation is arranged in the load circuit. <IMAGE>
