Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0472982A2] In order to prevent overstressing of the transmission elements (drill sleeve and insertion end) when using percussion drilling devices, especially for drilling anchor holes, it is proposed to equip the pressure line (24) for the supply of the drive medium to the percussion piston (3) with a first control member (25) which reduces the working pressure driving the percussion piston - after a limit value of the rotary-mechanism working pressure is exceeded - as the latter rises. In addition, there is a second control member (42), via which the push-out pressure against which the percussion piston (3) can be returned counter to the percussion direction (arrow 21) can be changed, after a limit value has been exceeded, as a function of the size of one of the working pressures - namely of the percussion-mechanism or rotary-mechanism working pressure - in such a way that the size of the push-out pressure increases or decreases with increasing working pressure. <IMAGE>
