The invention relates to a cylinder block (1) for motor vehicle engines with crankshaft bearings and an oil sump each of which are detachably fixed to it. The characteristic of the invention is that a tank of sound-insulated material accommodating the crankshaft bearings and forming the oil sump and the side longitudinal walls of the crank casing is detachably fixed on the cylinder block (1). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Zylinderblock (1) für Kraftfahrzeugmotoren mit jeweils lösbar daran angebrachten Kurbelwellenlagern und Ölwanne. Kennzeichen der Erfindung ist, daß an dem Zylinderblock (1) eine die Kurbelwellenlager aufnehmende, die Seitenlängswände des Kurbelgehäuses und die Ölwanne bildende Wanne aus schallgedämmten Material lösbar befestigt ist. <IMAGE>
