[origin: EP0473042A2] A socket for ceiling-mounting is proposed, consisting of a flush-mounted socket 102, a supporting piece 3 which is held therein protected against rotation and has electrical terminal contacts 412 which are accessible through holes 111 in a covering socket 1 that is screwed to the supporting piece 3, and of a suspension hook 5, which projects outwards through the covering socket 1 and is arranged pivotably on the supporting piece 3. Provided as a holder for the suspension hook 5 is a mounting lug 4 which is placed on two webs 34 of the supporting piece 3 that are arranged at a distance from one another and is correspondingly bent twice and in which screws can be passed through for fixing to the flush-mounted socket 102. The suspension hook 5, which is of T-shaped design at its mounting end 51, is supported pivotably with its side limbs 511 in the side walls of the two U-shaped bends 42 of the mounting lug 4. The covering socket 1 can be fixed to the supporting piece 3. An insert 6, holding the supporting piece 3, is arranged in the flush-mounted socket 102 such that it can be adjusted in the axial direction. <IMAGE>
