The invention relates to a hybrid sound attenuator, in which a passive absorber lining is combined with an active electro-acoustic system in such a way that the sound attenuation is increased due to the effect of the active subsystem on the passive absorber lining, in order to obtain an optimised channel-side acoustic impedance and thereby an improved sound attenuation within a broad frequency range, particularly at low frequencies. <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung betrifft einen hybriden Schalldämpfer, bei dem eine passive Absorberauskleidung (1) mit einem aktiven elektroakustischen System (2) derart kombiniert wird, daß die Schalldämpfung verstärkt wird, indem das aktive Subsystem auf die passive Absorberauskleidung einwirkt, um eine optimierte kanalseitige akustische Impedanz und dadurch eine bessere Schalldämpfung in einem breiten Frequenzbereich, besonders bei tiefen Frequenzen, zu erhalten. <IMAGE>
