[origin: US5112047A] This table football machine is of the type having a box structure whose rectangular base reproduces a football pitch, in which each transverse vertical wall has an opening corresponding to a goal mouth and whose longitudinal vertical walls carry bearings for eight horizontal rods which are disposed transversely and each of which, mounted pivotably and axially sliding in its end bearings, carries one or more figurines or players of a single team, and is provided, at one of its ends, with a maneuvering handle, all the rods supporting players of a single team being disposed with their maneuvering handles located outside the same longitudinal wall. On the one hand, each rod is composed of a single element and, on the other hand, each longitudinal wall has, at least in the region of each bearing supporting the free end of a rod, a thickness at least equal to the axial travel of this rod.

Ce baby-foot est du type comprenant un caisson (2) dont le fond rectangulaire (3) reproduit un terrain de football, dont chaque paroi verticale transversale (4) présente une ouverture (6) correspondant à une cage de but et dont les parois verticales longitudinales (5) portent les paliers (9) de huit barres horizontales (11a à 11d et 12a à 12d) disposées transversalement et dont chacune, montée pivotante et axialement coulissante dans ses paliers d'extrémité (9), porte un ou plusieurs figurines ou joueurs d'une même équipe, et est pourvue, à l'une de ses extrémités, d'une poignée de manoeuvre (11'a à 11'd et 12'a à 12'd), toutes les barres supportant les joueurs d'une même équipe étant disposés avec leurs poignées de manoeuvre situées à l'extérieur d'une même paroi longitudinale (5). D'une part, chaque barre (11a à 11d et 12a à 12d) est composée d'un seul élément et, d'autre part, chaque paroi longitudinale (5) présente, au moins dans la région de chaque palier (9) supportant l'extrémité libre d'une barre, une épaisseur au moins égale à la course axiale de cette barre. <IMAGE>
