Abstract (en)
A gas-discharge vessel for compact lamps consists of an evacuated or gas-filled outer sleeve, which is at least partially transparent, is closed in a sealed manner on all sides and is equipped with at least two electrodes having connections for supplying power from a ballast. In order to achieve an illuminating surface that is as large as possible with a compact construction it is provided that the diameter of the outer sleeve corresponds approximately to the external diameter of the compact lamp and the electrode connections are arranged such that they can be connected directly but detachably to the ballast to form a complete compact lamp.

Ein Gasentladungsgefäß für Kompaktlampen besteht aus einer evakuierten oder gasgefüllten, zumindest teilweise transparenten, allseitig dicht geschlossenen Außenhülle, die zumindest mit zwei Elektroden mit Anschlüssen zur Stromzuführung von einem Vorschaltgerät ausgestattet ist. Um eine möglichst große Leuchtfläche bei gedrängtem Aufbau zu erreichen, ist vorgesehen, daß der Durchmesser der Außenhülle etwa dem Außendurchmesser der Kompaktlampe entspricht und die Elektrodenanschlüsse derart angeordnet sind, daß sie mit dem Vorschaltgerät direkt, aber lösbar, zu einer kompletten Kompaktlampe verbindbar sind.
