[origin: EP0349416A1] Applicator unit in the form of a pen, comprising a solid mascara cake and a dispensing element (brush, pen). This unit comprises a tubular body (1) and a cap (2) carrying the dispensing element (3) at the end of a stem (31), the tubular body (1) containing a mascara cake (7) at least partially hollowed out in order to permit the charging of the dispensing element (3), the applicator unit furthermore containing a reservoir which contains a liquid used for dampening the dispensing element (3), the reservoir (4) and the dispensing element (3) being associated in a manner such that, at the time of use, the said element (3) is dampened by the said liquid. <IMAGE>
